Rev. Dr. Frank Gipson - Pastor
Rev. Dr. Frank Gipson is an accomplished chaplain and educator with extensive experience in theological studies, pastoral care, and philosophy. With a Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible and Social Theory, Dr. Gipson has a profound understanding of ancient texts and their application to contemporary social issues. His career encompasses various roles, including chaplain resident, pastor, and professor, where he has taught a broad spectrum of courses, from Old Testament studies to Black Theology and the History of the Black Church.
Dr. Gipson's expertise is rooted in both academic excellence and practical ministry. He has worked as a church planter, itinerant minister, and senior pastor, and has a strong background in teaching biblical studies, philosophy, and theology at multiple institutions. His scholarly contributions include publications on ancient Near Eastern societies and the interpretation of biblical literature, showcasing his deep engagement with both historical and modern contexts.
In addition to his academic and pastoral roles, Dr. Gipson is dedicated to education, holding certifications in teaching at the college level, and actively participating in professional societies related to biblical literature and philosophy.
Alita McRae-Eagles, Secretary & Bookkeeper
Alita is the Choir President/Minister of Music, Outreach Leader, Graphics Designer, and Praise and Worship Leader at her church: Power of Praise Non-Denominational Ministries in Chicago, IL. She is the wife of 19 years to David L. Eagles who also serves in ministry, and mother to 2 sons and 1 daughter.
Outside of ministry she makes handmade jewelry, and accessories, a hobby that has turned into a small business. She is also the owner of “Write the Vizion Global Enterprise, LLC,” a Christian based web agency that targets people who want to start (or have started) a business and need help with graphics, website design, social media page creation, and more. She loves helping people find their God-giving vision through Vision Board Workshops that teach the Biblical principals that help visions come true. She also loves creating things, writing, singing, playing the keyboard, cooking, crocheting, and learning new things as much as possible! She counts it all joy to serve as the secretary at New Hope Church
Tim Jansma - NHC Custodian
Tim Jansma serves as the part-time custodian at New Hope Church, where he plays a vital role in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for the congregation and visitors. Tim ensures that the church facilities are well-kept and ready for various services and events. His dedication to his work reflects his commitment to supporting the church community, making New Hope a comfortable and inviting place for all who enter.
