Bible Text: Proverbs 2 | Proverbs 2 has plenty of moral advice in it, but that advice is secondary to the call to seek wisdom. That’s where so many human beings must begin – with a search for understanding good and evil and how life works at the deepest level. But when we engage in that search, there is another searcher at work, leading us along the way, and who means to be found when the seeker is ready. The treasure awaits – now, go, seek it out and you will find!

Bible Text: Isaiah 42:18-43:7 | The Israelites had failed yet again, and God’s judgement had come down in the form of the Babylonian empire scattering them far and wide. Surely that was the end. God would finally draw the boundary line on what He would tolerate. But what’s this, now He says “fear not”? “I will be with you”? How is it that God sticks with His sinful, scattered, lost, and unable people? It’s as if He can’t let go and won’t let go. That’s good news for all of us.
