Bible Text: 1 Corinthians 12:1-20
The early Christians of Corinth were lost in rivalry and religion, picking and choosing their faction and their faith. So Paul, who got them started with Jesus in the first place, wrote them a letter about how to discern what was true Christian behavior and spiritual experience. In chapter 12, Paul lays out that spiritual gifts are not about “me,” but about others, God’s Holy Spirit, and in the end, all about Jesus as Lord.
